Question:
Where can we make this change on the VOS or from the Director-UI?
Answer:
VOS-cli:
admin@Branch-cli(config)% set system platform management-port usage-model
Possible completions:
data-exclusive - Management port will be used by Versa Services exclusively
host-exclusive - Management port will be used by host OS exclusively
shared - Management port will be shared between Host OS and Versa Services
Note:
Please be noted that Shared as an option is not recommended to be used as of today.
data-exclusive, moved the eth0 port to be a part of the VOS vni interface.
host-exclusive keeps the eth0 interface, part of the Linux namespace.
Please be noted that for the change to take effect VOS Service has to be restarted. In order to avoid unexpected behavior, deleting config will not revert the changes, Admin need to set the desired mode explicitly
Director-UI:
After making the change from the UI, please be noted that the Versa services have to be restarted manually.
