This KB will guide you on troubleshooting appliance alarms with "deprecated-appid-configured" generated on the access policy rule.

Eg: with appid minecraft_pocket

The purpose of the alarms is to notify the users gracefully that the current/Latest application protocol bundle will not detect/identify minecraft_pocket but should not cause a functional issue with the policy with other apps listed in the group.

This error shows the specific AppID is deprecated in the latest Spack and we need to select an alternate AppID or remove the specific app id from the security access policy rule.

Here in this case, in the latest Application Protocol bundle doesn't support minecraft_pocket is deprecated and we need to remove using minecraft appid in the specific rule to stop the alarm from being generated in the specifically mentioned rule.

The same can be applied with any other appid that is generating an alarm. The Director may still list the deprecated app, as there can be other appliances running an older application protobundle which may support the app.
