It’s important to understand that site and link availability data depends on “hourly TTL retention” and not “daily TTL retention” – by default the hourly data retention is 30 days.

“Hourly data” takes up more space in the DB than “daily data” (which is summarized), hence the retention of hourly data is set to a lower period (1 month) than the daily data. Please avoid increasing the retention limit as it can/will impact your DB load.

Note: link/site availability does not use the “daily data” as it has no relevance, since availability is granular and depends on hourly data

The recommendation is that you pull monthly or weekly report for “availability” data, you can schedule a report for the same,  to ensure that the data is not lost

The below PR had caused the presence of data beyond retention, which is the reason why customer were previously able to see data beyond retention period (this has now been fixed since 21.2.3 release from july 2023

The below PR fixed in 22.1.4 will ensure that daily retention is “greyed out” against the site/link availability options
