We’ve determined an issue with Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160Mhz using an upgraded intel driver version (22.190.0.4) that results in an incompatibility with our wifi module on CSG7xx series 

We had taken this up with our Wifi module vendor. Their finding pointed to an issue with the intel driver (the latest intel driver 22.190.0.4 ) where it was no responding back, with a directed Auth request, to the to the probe response from the AP (Versa wifi in this case). 

The workaround/solution for now is to downgrade your intel wifi driver to 22.150.0.3 (we've tested this version and found it work seamlessly with our wifi module)

Engineering update verbatim:

"As per debug logs on the client, sniffer captures, and debugs from the Wifi module, it's determined that the client was sending the broadcast probe request and AP (versa) was responding with Probe response. Once the client receives the probe response from the AP, Intel based wireless client should send the directed probe (Authentication) request as well, but its not sending. "

5th March 2023: Intel has confirmed that they’ve been able to identify the issue and they will be providing a fix in the next driver code
